Look into the corallife Super Skimmers Ryan.They aint that expensive and do a good job.The CSS65 would be great on your 29.

This is the one I use....It's great. Pulls so much crap out of my 30g (plus it does surface skimming). This is a HOB style skimmer with an extra chamber to add filter media, heater, etc.
The best part is the pump is NOT in the display tank, rather inside the Skimmer.
