    What the PH...?

PH doesn't matter too much through the cycling process It alters naturally throughout the day depending on lights , oxygen & alk Start your cycle. Don't buffer or chase parameters It will settle just fine on its own

    How much live rock?

The old 2lbs per gallon is not used as much any more With things like marine pure. Seachem matrix now available The need for that is terribly old fashioned Create the scape you like and add media to your sump ! Minimal rock. Open swim spaces have huge advantages too Better flow. Less...

    New 8 x 4 x 2.5 Build

HI, Well the new 7 x 2.5 x 2.5 peninsular has been sold and the new build begins. Our current tank is 12 months old on the 12th Dec. Whose the boss ?

Ok. It's been 8 weeks since all new stock added after a huge loss 6 months ago to Ich. Pleased to say no sign of Ich although I am running an extremely large UV now. No aggression, all hand feeding & lopezi tang allowing us to actually pat him. So great confidence for such a short time...

We need Sal, Mag, Alk, Cal, phos and nitrates. I am assuming ammonia and nitrites are 0.00 (but would def be worth testing them...

    Welcome home " Ripley"

Yes. It's a sea cucumber. They can be toxic to the tank if die a stressful death due to incorrect parameters or aggression. But if they just die a natural death they are not a problem. They don't like nitrates at all so low nutrients are very important.
