When i do a water change could i sift threw the sand to get all of the crap in it out or would that just stir up stuff underneath the sand and perhaps make a spike ?
Would spike things potentially, you can however stir a little each day (10%) until you have the entire tank done. Or do the natural method, sand sifting star or snails etc, an engineering goby would do this for you as well.
