Uv filter

YOu guys run your uv all the time? Does it kill pods and plankton? Or should they be put on a timer? I like the higher wattage one too.

But they can kill the beneficial bacteria as well right?
I am thinking to put one without a pump. On one of the 3 canisters i have.

:bounce:
they kill anything that goes through them only if the flow is slow enough

I should build one for my sister in law and tell her its a tanning lamp.

She's like 300 lbs. and flows very slow right over to where the food is.:bounce:

they are almost the same thing a uv light in a tanning bed is either uv A or uv B and the uv in a sterlizer is uv C
