Using Linx instead of RO/DI?

Has anyone tried using a Linx water purification system instead of an RO/DI system? My water bill has shot up because of the huge amount of waste associated with RO/DI. If a Linx system removes enough of the impurities, is the resulting water satisfactory for a reef system?
