I am looking to get specific testers, I know calc, KH, and Mg needed to be tested regularly. What brands are better than others, but still not $20 each?

For those tests I wouldnt trust any other brand but the Salfert brand. However unless you have lots of stony corals you really dont need to test those things, just do regular waterchanges.

What I currently have are about 12 eagle eye zoa, about 30 polyps if whamming watermelon zoas, a watermelon stylo, and green star polyp.

you will be fine not testing then, you mostly have soft corals which dont use calc, alk etc

And what ever you get just make sure its not test strips.

Yeah I deff don't want test strips. I am doing water changes about 2-3 gallons once a week on my 29g biocube.
