skinmate?

How much of this stuff should I be producing? I mean I only have two fish, and right now I'm getting 1/4 - 1/2 cup of dark green water every few days. Is this the right consistancy?

mine gets filled every week and i have to empty it

i empty mine about every 3 days with a dry skimmate.

I was dumping mine every two days from my 90 and I only have 5 fish. That is a medium skim, I am trying a drier one now.

Your tank is still pretty young so theres not a whole ton to skim yet. You are getting quite a bit for the age of your tank.

Sounds about right to me. Test your water. If your nitrates are okay, then your skimmer is doing its job.

Nitrates are 0.....(: I'm just trying to figure this all out cause everyone keeps saying a dry or a wet skinmate. No matter how I set the cup, it all comes out like dirty water, just darker or lighter

I like my skinmate with big bosoms and a fat a$$.

Now,skimmate on the other hand,I like it dry.You empty it less often and its darker coffee color.Wet produces more water and needs to be empty more often.

Mine produces very little wet skimmate, but the dark green goop that accumulates on the "chimney" and collection cup is pretty freaking nasty.

If you keep the skimmer cup nice and clean, especially the neck, it will produce more skimmate than when the neck is dirty. I try to clean mine every couple days, which seems to keep it clean. But when the neck gets really dirty make sure and clean it or you won't get as much skimmate.
