Saltwater changes and oxygenation

My normal routine is to mix up my saltwater then do the water change at about the same time the next day. I leave the pump running the whole time to keep water flow.

How bad would it be if I mixed up a batch of saltwater this morning, then did a water change tonight? Let's assume I'm not going to make a habit of this, I just forgot to mix it yesterday. :)

Is it a) you'll shoot your eye out, or b) shouldn't hurt once. :mrgreen:

The biggest problem would be that the salt mix might not be 100% dissolved. I don't think itwould hurt once though.

It wouldn't be too bad. :) I've done emergency water changes in a pinch with water I just mixed up. It's not the best idea, but as long as it's not your routine it won't hurt anything.

Plus if you have a sump, and pour the new water in the sump, even better. Hopefully the undissolved salt will stay in the sump.
