RO/DI unit?

OK, what are the best type of units for this hobby? Was checking e-bay for them and if have found 3, 5, 6, and 7 stage. The six stage that I found has the highest production capability at 100gpd but would this jsut be wasted money? how many gal/day should/will I need to be able to produce? In my freshwater setup I just distill/dechlorinate my tapwater which I have learned here is a BIG NONO for saltwater.

You are right about not using tap water for your tank.

I got a 6-stage RODI unit off of Ebay that produces 100 gpd for $60 plus shipping (less than $100 total). It works great. I got it from the "Pure Water Club" store if you want to look them up.

Is this the one you're talking about? How are wasit to plumb into your water system Im not a plumber by anymean but im handy...I guess

Yep I think that's it. I didn't install it myself, my exhusband did. And he was not very handy. So I doubt you'd have any problems doing it.
