Right Light?

Hi. I am just making sure that this light will be good for me. I have a 18 inch tall tank. NOVA Extreme 24" T-5 Fixture 4 x 24W by Current USA - AquaCave I want to keep a Bubble Tip Anemone, and that will be the highest lighting need. I'd like to order it tonight if it's good. Thanks.

I think it would be fine. I kept a bubble tip anemone under those same lights (but the 48" fixture) in my old 55 gallon tank.

No, those appear to have better reflectors. If you were going to choose between the two, I'd get the second set you linked to, but make sure you get the 4-bulb fixture.

I had trouble with the 24" t-5's. I killed 3 clams before I finally admit that my lights werent cutting it. The 48" lights biff had were not just longer but also higher wattage. For the 18" depth, I think you may want to go with a MH pendant or something with higher wattage instead of the 24w t-5's. If you weren't talking about a nem I'd say do it, but I think you will need more light to keep a nem happy.

That fixture is at the minimum lighting requirements.

I'd like to get that 48" x 8. Not too many specs here, I need to know the depth of the fixture, is that what the 8 refers to? Think you can add moonlites to that?
