how long will R/O water be good for if i keep it at room temp and in bucket with lid ? and how long if i make it salt water is one better then the other if it has to sit for a day or 2 ?

You should let your salt water age for a day or two after you mix it.

R/O water should last for a long time. As long as the container is clean and sealed. Mixed salt water I would use in a day or two. If you are only having it sit for that long, I would mix the salt water, that way it will be thougholy dissolved before adding it to your tank. Any longer, I would leave it as R/O until the night before you do the water change.

i keep it in the oceanic salt buckets thier only used for R/O water nothing else with the sealed lids on them

I leave my water out for a week or two at a time, fresh and salt.

Mine is mixed up or out for as long as a month.

i believe as long as its being circulated with a powerhead or pump they both should be fine for a long while. like Dcan and Biff said i have had my RO and Salt sit in the trashcans for a month or so.
