why is a formosa wrasse not reef safe? is it due to the fact tht it will nip at coral or eat the cuc?

As mentioned above they will not allow you a CUC. The CUC is very important in a reef tank as far as consuming fish waste and algeas that hurt your reef tank. Thus why they are not reef safe.
