quick live rock question

My tank is in, I hope to pick it up tomorrow. Can the live rock go in freshly mixed water, or does it have to be up around 80 degrees and settled for a special amount of time?

same with the live sand?

i just put all mine in when i set mine up. it does not take that long for the heaters to heat the water. i never had any problems.

I put mine it the day I put my first water in the tank. It should be fine.

Make sure the salt is totally dissolved.I prefer to wait 24hrs after mixing up the water before adding live rock and sand.

Listen to these guys. I bought my water, so it was mixed a day or two before I got it. I didnt realize you were mixing your water.

Thats what i'll do...hoping to pick the tank/stand up wednesday and get it going, then add sand and rock friday......thanks everyone

You probably know this, but you don't want to leave the LR out of the water for long or you get a die off on the rock surface and you need to cure it.

I would make the salt water now. That way you'll have it to put in tank when you get it.

I would mix the water in a different container and when you get the tank get the sand and rocks at the same time. the reason is you want to put the rocks in the tank before anything else. have the rocks sit on the glass not the sand. when you get home add the rocks and do your aquascaoing making sure that you like it then add the sand and then you can add the water.
