Powerhead/Microbubbles

One of my maxi-jets keeps on spitting out micro-bubbles. There is no way the powerhead is sucking in air, I made sure it is fully submerged under water and that it doesn't cause a vortex.

Any ideas of why it is doing this? Bad powerhead?

I had the same thing happen, took it apart, cleaned it out, bubbles gone...

I have 2 max-jet 1200 in my tank. Both have the Hydor spinning attachment. One blows bubbles. The other doesn't. The one that blows bubbles, only blows when the rotating assembly from the Hydor reaches the 2 o'clock position. Weird. I've taken it out and cleaned it. Run fresh water on it. Scrubbed it with a bottle brush. No joy. Still blowing bubbles.

My guess is its sucking up micro bubbles.Once enough of them is collected and traps the air,the pump releases it.
