Oh F**k!

I have a Blue Thumb
Ok. Today I brought home an Austalian elegance coral hand picked by the owner of an LFS here in Orlando. It was doing fine until I got home from the grocery store and found what looked like broken tentacles!!!! I moved it out of the flow so hopefully it'll be ok. It'd suck ass to throw $80 down the hole. Any recommendations?? PLEASE!?!?! Params are all normal. I'm hoping it was just in too much flow. I placed it in high flow not realizing it needed low to moderate :frustrat: Fixing to feed it.

I'll take pics of the other frags I brought home and post them in my tank showcase thread later. Very worried about the elegance right now.

Could be whats called polyp bailout, which happens when a coral is severely stressed.About all you can do is give it time and hope for the best.

Go figure it'd be stressed. The LFS owner put it in their tank yesterday afternoon. I said "I think I'll come back on Sunday to bring it home. I don't want to STRESS it out from tank hoping constantly." She says "oh don't worry about that, it looks PLENTY fine to be traveling and acclimating to your tank."...........:grumble: I just checked on it again and the tentacles are extended again so hopefully putting in the rear of my tank with the smallest flow did the trick. Thanks for the help and advice guys.

Just got home from work. Lookin good. I've been watching some corals that I put in the front of my tank to find the lowest flow, so I'm going to place the elegance in a spot later tonight under my actinics. I'll keep an eye on it of course, and snap some shots of the new additions tom.
