Coral Junkie
Ive decided that I was going to get a closed maze brain I heard they were pretty easy and that all that I had to do was keep a close eye on my calcium. Seeing on how this is my first LPS how hard is it to keep your calcium at 430 to 450.?
and the sales man told me I dont have to feed them is this true?

thx

Depending on what brand salt your using,it may be easy to keep your calcium level up.But even your brand is low on calcium, its still not hard to maintain.
And you dont have to hand feed the brain. It can get what it needs from the water and the light.
Congratulations.We expect pics.

Its not hard keeping calcium in proper levels as long as you use a quality salt and do regular water changes.Even dosing with a calcium additive is pretty simple but with only one LPS you really shouldn't need to dose.

I agree, good choice for a starter coral. They require moderate light and moderate flow and don't need to be fed. Calcium is not hard to maintain at that level, and if you have to, you can dose with a liquid or powder supplement. Be sure to buy a good calcium test kit though.
