Need Some Help...

Okay, guys, I need your help...

First, what the heck is this? I found it on a piece of LR when I was looking at my tank today. It was wedged in a crevice of the rock, but didn't seem attached in any way. I thought it might be bubble algae. I don't know though. It is clear-ish, somewhat squishy, and there are little green flecks floating around in it. I can't find any more in my tank. Any ideas?

Second, this algae is growing in my mother's tank. I thought it was just diatoms at first, but now it's turning a red-brown color and it's starting to get stringy. Red slime? Dinos?

Thanks guys.

Algae eats Nitrates, phosphates, and light. So basically remove nitrates and phosphates by having macro algae in your sump and doing water changes to keep your nitrates at a minimum.

Thanks guys. I've been doing 10% water changes weekly, and I've got chaeto that's growing like crazy in my refugium, although it's not Biff's Chaeto, so maybe that's what's wrong. ;) I'll keep an eye out for any more bubble algae, and perhaps Friday I can look into an emerald crab...
