I have a 55 gallon also what all do you have in it? I dont know what i need to put in mine to make it look more like the ocean. I have had my tank for about 6 months now and still no coralline algae or anything. I dont have corals yet. Saving up money for lights and protein skimmer and then corals.

Mine really started growing good when I got good lights. Alot of my rock had some on it when I bought it and then I added some purple up and it took off.
