Mandarins like Sushi

Someone blogged that Mandarin's eat orange flying fish roe --just like at a sushi restaurant. I found some that had no vinegar or other additives at an Asian market and dropped them in right in front of my Mandarin with the flow off. He chowed on them. I noticed that after a few minutes the orange comes off and the eggs turn clearish --food coloring? He does not seem to eat them after the orange washes off. I think these eggs have a lot of fatty acids -nutritious?

Hadnt heard anything about that Sen.And have no idea if the orange is food coloring or not.But I'd say that the roe is about a nutritious as anything else we use to feed our fish.
