Low Mag levels

I have tried and tried to get my mag up to at least 1300. For some reason I can't ever get it past 1290 and I am dosing every 2-3 days to try and get it up. Any suggestions as to why?

As of today my Calcium is 420, Mag 1275, and my Alk is low (which I just dosed)

I am dosing Brightwells Magnesium (powder) 3 teaspoons per 120 gallons. Trying to get rid of this before I mix up the BRS Mag additive I got.

Good God. Looking at that chart I am not dosing near enough. It says to increase 75 ppm I need to dose 85 tspn of the additive.

Really? Does that sound right? Does the additive just not bring up the levels at a significant rate?

That sounds right. It takes alot of store bought mag supplements to raise your levels. Most of that stuff is a very weak solution and just made to maintain the levels. Just go to the local drug store and buy Epsom salt.
