Live rock ?

When adding live rock to your tank does it always start a cycle when you introduce say 6 or more pounds of live rock in a 55g tank. Im just wondering since i have been adding live rock as i can afford more since its very pricey and i have been tenttive to put fish or anything since i dont want to kill anything with a mjor spike . Any thoughts ?

depends if it's cycled well before hand or not. ask your supplier how well cycled and/or cured it is.

I don't think that amount will be enough to worry about. Just keep checking your parameters

If not put into a rubbermaid tote with a power head and heater and cycle it yourself outside of your tank. This way here you know when it is cycled/cured.
