Live rock question

I just picked up a fair size live rock around 6 pounds and it smells really bad like ammonia i don't think its fully cured if i put it in my tank will it be an issue i don't have fish still cycling and putting more live rock in slowly and looks a little ripe with bright bgreen algae compared to the other rocks i bought hoping someone can answer my question please

Since your tank is still cycling,I dont see any problem.
I'd say go ahead and add the new rock.

Yeah,It'll cure in the tank.As for how long it'll take,thats anybodies guess.
Might take a week,might take a month.

i have 3 little crabs in my tank that eat the alge what are the chances they will make it with the new live rock do you think ?

+1 Yote...go ahead and put it in your tank, and let it all cycle at once.

Those small hermits are really tough and hardy...but to be safe, you could perform small water changes while the tank is cycling.
