any input on which is best??????

sorry for the constant questions

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Uaniva live rock from Saltycritter.com is the best looking live rock I ever had....and I've tried about all of them.

I like a mix of tonga on the bottom and fiji on the top. Just me. Cured over uncured. the smell is not worth the money saved.

did you buy uncured rock that crap stinks it smells like you are sitting in a bathroom all day that someone just smelled up :pooh::pooh::pooh: if you get what i am saying

Tampa bay live rock definitely has the most life forms on, with and within it. It is Bahama's rock though and fairly dense. Fiji live rock is the least dense of nearly all the live rock, however it usually is the most abused and therefore contains the least amount of life. The others sorta rate in between those two. Myself I would go for dead base rock such as this rock http://www.mariculturetechnology.com/rock.htm and cover and top that with the http://www.tampabaysaltwater.com rock as it contains the most life and hitch hikers. The others seem to be pretty much hit and miss even when you buy them by the full box straight from the airport by drop shipment, which is through the same people who supply the wholesalers and retailers. I have seen some good rock, but much, much more bad rock. Stinky, slippery dead looking stuff with dead lifeforms on it, very yuck. Most LFS's sell rock that is worth at most $2 per pound.
