limpet

so i have a a yellow limpet in my tank and have had him for a while... ive never seen him do anything to hurt anything, he just kinda cruises around eating stuff off rocks, but ive never seen him on a coral. Today I was looking around online to try to ID these snails I found in my tank and I ran into this site which says that limpets are bad. It even has a picture of the same one I have... any experience with these? Should I take it out?

I have always heard that they are okay.

For the most part, they are okay, although they have been known to snack on SPS corals.

Some limphets are bad for corals.But most are harmless algae grazers.Theres a few that will feed on coralline.
Unless you actually catch it in the act of coral munching,I'd just leave him alone.

alright will do, he grows like crazy and is pretty cook looking so i didnt wanna toss him... so thats good news
