Lightning Maroon Clownfish

Oh shit! That's incredible. Talk about a 1 in a million chance. It's good that they will be trying to breed them in captivity.

Now THAT is a gorgeous clownfish.

I just hope now poachers won't start trying to catch them in the wild (laws or not, they don't care). That would suck now that there's attention to it.

And they will probably start laying again as soon as you stop planning on them.

I do not know if I like those new fish or not yet.

That is an awsome looking fish, but with a price tag around 2500 I would have to pass,:frustrat:

Another Lightning Maroon caught on the same reef......
I think we have a new species headed our way....

It's not a new species, it's just a mutated version of a maroon clown. Kinda like dog breeds. Poodles and chihuahuas look very different, but they are the same species. One of the most straightforward ways to test if two animals are the same species is if they can produce viable (i.e. non-sterile) offspring. If these lightning clowns can breed with regular maroon clowns, and the baby clowns are also able to breed, then they are most likely the same species as each other.
