How long should I run my lights, in my 75 gal reef tank

It all depends on the type of lighting you use...some people do 8hrs or they try to replicate the same time the sun is out.

I run VHO lighting and I have my actinics come on an hour before the 50/50`s and an hour after the white lights go out. The actinics are on about 12 hours and the 50/50`s are on about 10 hours.

I agree with biffy.. Do you have corals in there? they will prefer the 12 hour cycle.
