I have a 29 gallon biocube ,and i just bought a coral buaty angel to add to it and my fire fish keeps jumping out into the filter / waterpump aera and cannot figure out why.

well fire fish jump. They do that when they get spooked. They are habitual carpet surfers.

Hello and welcome to the site...try cutting some eggcrate to fit the top of your tank.

Firefish are commonly jumpers. And a coral beauty can be an aggressive fish that's probably scaring the firefish. You should make a temporary barrier to block it off until they settle in.
