Reefing newb
Ok been going around and doing alot of Aquarium stuff. Notice this on my live rock. Any idea what it is?

Thanks yote. Btw my nitrates were high yesterday and did a water change, still high and tested my tap water and nitrates were off the chart. Read a thread about u buying distilled water and decided to try it. Did a 20% change today and hopefully can drop my nitrates from 20 to 0. R/O saltwater is expensive at every LFs store around. Distilled water is 49 cents a gallon so its great!
 
Here's a better picture. Well my only concern is that my puffer will eat the shrimp before it does its job. ONly a few more days til he's gone

Definitely aiptasia -- a fast-spreading pest anemone. Get rid of it ASAP. Go to the pharmacy and get a syringe (any size is fine). Then inject the aiptasia with lemon juice or boiling water. Alternatively, make a really thick paste out of salt and smother it. Once you get rid of the puffer, buy some peppermint shrimp to make sure the aiptasia doesn't come back.
