ok so I'm about to drop a shrimp in my tank, how long do I leave it in for? And can I just drop it in or do I NEED to put in panty hoes?.

what are you trying to accomplish? Starting the cycle or catching bristle worms? If you are starting your cycle, you would drop an uncooked, unseasoned shrimp in your tank and just let nature take its course. No panty hose required. Catching bristle worms requires the panty hose. The worms get stuck in the nylon and you can then remove them easier.

yea I'm cycling my tank for the first time, do I take the shell off the shrimp?

Nope, you don't need to take off the shell. Just allow it to rot in the tank.

Once you see the ammonia and nitrite spike, you can remove the shrimp. If there's any of it left. ;) It may be gone by then.

ok so I dropped my table shrimp in the tank and he dissolved rather quickly! But the last of the shrimp got cought in my power head current and broke up into 100000 pieces should I be worried? Or will my future cuc pick that up?
