hermit crab question

Would a hermit crab eat a pepermint shrimp?

Nope, only if it were very close to death or dead.

Thanks waddi. I bought one and put it into the tank. The only other thing in there is a hermit crab and the darn shrimp up and dissappeared. I can not find him anywhere. I guess he just found a good spot to camp out.

Yep, when they molt they will not come out of hiding until they feel that their body is full hardened up again. You also may think that the molt may be him dead since they look very similar, but just wait it out and I'm sure he is fine.

Peppermint shrimp are nocturnal, too. Try looking for him at night with a flashlight.
