Help please!

I have a 20 gallon long with a algae problem. The algae is just on the sand and not on any rocks, also only on one end of the tank. I was wondering if it is cyno how to get rid/ what causes it. Will post parameters later. Thanks

Looks like red cyano slime to me. I get it from time to time. could be from overfeeding and lack of flow in that area.not a big deal.siphon it out during water changes. It will eventually go away. Posting parameters would really help.

You can also try cutting back on the lights
