Heater Question

Ok so my tank is set up with salt water and running, but I have question about heaters. I have 2 200 watt heaters running. They have been running for three hours and my tank temp has only increased 4 degrees. Do I need to go bigger?

It's going to take a long time to heat 90 gallons of water up. Probably even a day. I doubt you need new heaters. You just need to give it time.

I think you have the correct wattage heaters. It takes a while to heat a 90 gal. tank. Do you have any flow in the tank near the heaters. Sometimes that will help till the temp is set.

Well both heaters are located in my sump and I have 2 Koralia 4 cycling the water around in the tank. Thanks for the advice I was just nervous I under shot the heater.

OHH Biff thanks for the post about the fan and your tank. Due to your incident I ran a new wire for my tank. So its on its own 20amp breaker with a GFI outlet.
