what do you guys think of this skimmer?

I dont know much, but it looks like a good one. I have the external hang on prizm pro from red sea on my larger tank which i love but its 150 dollars more and too strong for the little 40g.

Opinions appreciated :)

No sump on this tank btw, need a hangon skimmer

looks good bro.. I just bought a prizm pro for 300g aquariums.. You like your prizm? i actually had to order a new impeller for mine.. Let me know what you think of your prizm...

Yea thats the same one I have and it works really well

Its rated a lot higher than what is meant to be in my tank, but it seems easy to tune and i got no problems with overflows. Only took me 2 days to tune and prime :) im fairly happy with that!

Impeller can be noisy if not tuned properly and no problems so far :) only thing is putting it together can be fiddly :frustrat:

I would rate this skimmer, although other people on the forum here dont like it

It's an Octopus skimmer so my guess is it is good.I'm not familiar with HOB skimmers but it looks like that HOB skimmer has been replace with more up to date skimmers.I use to see those for sale in the States a few years ago,maybe they are still around,but the online vendors I visit the most don't carry them any longer.

i have the octo 800s and it is a very good skimmer and good pump that it comes with
