i have never ever seen my frogspwans feeder and sweepers at night.... i have seen it at all hours of the day and night but never once seen a tentacle that wasnt the usual green and purple polyp
what time does yours come out?

hehe... the polyps are what it uses to eat... The pink/purple tips stick to the food and it just shovels it into its mouth :D Whole process takes about 30 mins.
When I feed it I take the turkey baster and drag it through the polyps as I squirt out, letting the polyps pretty much wrap around the turkey baster and letting the tips attach to the food.

Not seeing sweeper tentacles is a good thing. It means the coral isn't feeling under attack.

I only get the sweepers during the day when the mushrooms really swell.

As for feeding it, I have tried so many times to put food in the polyps only to have the clowns come along and raid the food supplies. I've given up trying to see the frogspawn feed.

I love these things but can't keep them alive they look great for about a month then die off.

Try feeding the clowns first. They will be less likely to steal the food from the frog spawn.

As long as the polyps are extended,you can feed it at anytime.To avoid aggressive fishes,I feed at night.The polyps are less inflated but are still extended.
