Ha Ha Thats Funny!
I would like to take a cutting of the star polyp. It is now attached to this rock and I would like to take a piece of it and place it nearby and have it grow. I have never fragged b4 so what do I do? I was going to just take a clipper off of it, but I dont want to have it die or get infected. Any input would be appreciated. Heve's a pic of it all retracted. It looks like a lush green carpet when extended, quite pretty. I will put up a pic of it both ways.

Chip off a piece of the purple mat that the polyps extend from. You can use a flathead screw driver or chisel. Then glue that chip wherever you want new star polyps.

I cut a piece off with a garden pruner. I just stuck the piece in the rock. That's it? This stuff seems to be growing pretty quickly. Thanks Bifferwine.

It's purple on the back side, the top is that gray color. The cutting is just starting to open. I will post a pic later when it's fully open, next to the main group. I want them to cover this one piece of rock.

Be careful. You might want a lot of them now, but they can grow out of hand fast, and be hard to remove. I would keep the rock you're wanting them on, on their own island.

They grow like yellow polyps. Dandelions of the reef world. You want more -- just wait my friend. ;-)

I predict 6 months before you're back, asking, "How the hell do I get rid of GSP?"
