featherduster

Anyone know if these need any special lighting at all?? I'm looking for things to make my tank more "alive" and add more color without upgrading my lights. Right now i just have a Coralife 50/50 24" bulb over my FOWLR tank.

Also, would a Coral Bauty, Royal Gramma or 6line Wrasse pick on featherdusters?

The lighting won't be an issue.Since they use the feathers to catch plankton, you may need to supplement with phytoplankton and other liquid invert food. The royal gramma is safe, not sure about the other fishes.

+1 yote, they may or may not...but you have a good chance of keeping them...lighting is not an issue at all...Good luck.

I have a six line and a royal gramma and they don't bother my featherduster. I placed mine in the sandbed.

A feather duster was the first thing l purchased for my 20 gal because at the time i only had 15 watts of light . it will do fine as long as it is fed phytoplankton like the reeffreak has already stated.
