I am new to the Reefing community and I am currently working on piecing a 20 gallon captive bread and eco-friendly reef tank. I was wondering if anyone knows how live sand is harvested, and if there are any great alternatives. As well as rock, I have found some very negative information online recently about how the fish are caught and how the live rock is harvested. I'm not sure if this information is accurate so I am looking for a little info from some veterans in the hobby.
