what are your thoughts on dolomite sand?

I haven't seen dolomite sand sold at LFS in 15-20 years.
It is a calcium base sand like aragonite and has some of the buffering capacity.Maybe not as good,who knows.The only difference I question is aragonite is taken from the ocean and dolomite from land.Minerals,metals and other things can contaminate dolomite.
Personally,I don't trust it.

Guy here that supplies sw hobbyists here sold me 50lbs for 15 bucks and he uses it and it all looks/functions well. He also is selling me 50lbs of salt for ten bucks. He is a very cool guy that just wants sw hobbyists to succeed and he can help by giving fatty prices. Also just bought my first fish! He's kind of a test of sorts to make sure I can keep things alive... Named him testy haha
