dead live rock

Ok so I have been researching buying dead live rock to put in with actual live rock to seed. Sounds logical to me and ppl have been saying I could save some money as well. I did also find out that the rocks I was looking at at my LFS were "lace rock" I really like the look of it and it is cheap. Does anyone have any thoughts on the lace rock as well? Thanks for your help

It will work. Thats what I did in the beginning. I bought the biggest pieces of lace rock I could find and mixed them in with live rock. I have about a 50/50 split of lace/live rock that has been in there for two years. I also started with a 2" bed of live sand.
