Dead Clown?

Please help! I went to feed my two clown fishes at their normal time when I noticed I’m stuck to the filter not moving. I went to grab him and a wish him goodbye when he twitched and started breathing heavily! Is he dead or in pain and what should I do!

When a fish is attached to a filter it means it no longer has the strength to swim in the current. I would say that the Clownfish is near death.
