dont do a water change until after your cycle, usually a cycle takes 2-3 weeks, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. keep checking your parameters, and once ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are at 0, you should be good to go ahead and add a clean up crew

my cycle took 3 weeks to complete. i didnt do any water changes during the time.

yeah i have a 250 gal. and it took 2 weeks for my tank to cycle and its fine just keep checking your water evey 3-5 days to make sure everything is alright

It took my 55 6 weeks to cycle.But I used 45 pounds of uncured live rock to cycle it.

Doing water changes while your tank is cycling will only prolong the cycle.Wait until the cycle is complete.Once ammonia and nitrite spike and then return to zero then your cycle is complete.Mine took a short 3 weeks,every set up is different though.
