Cheektowaga, NY reef store robbed of 25K of corals!

This is awful and I hope they get the guys. See the link on one of our local reef groups. There is a news video and story on it. And pics of the perps! I think they'll get caught. Well, I hope they get caught... Two people threw a cinder block through 'A Reef Connection's' door, went directly to the high end coral tanks and made off with about 20-25K of the little shops corals... They even used the store buckets to carry it away. Fortunately the store had great video and even finger prints left. Apparently they weren't aware of the night vision cameras! Losers! So, please spread the word and be on the lookout for 'good NY deals'.
Thanks!
David

wow thats horrible, but i bet they have one hell of an awesome tank at the moment... i have personally been at reef connection, and what an immaculate place

That happens out here all the time. I know of one store that has been hit 3 times now. Only difference is, 2 times the jack asses were caught afterwards.

Ryan posted about this, too... so the response was stretched over two threads.

Not sure what you wanted those of us not in the area to do...

I merged both threads.

That sucks. Randy (ARC's owner) has been at a few NCPARS frag swaps and he definitely has some nice top of the line corals.

I wanted everyone to get mad, and they did!! I didn't see this thread, my apologies Erin. I was just so mad that one of our own would do something like this. Are they just a greedy hobbyist looking for a quick buck? Makes you wonder who you might let in your home to pick up a frag. Just sad that someone would stoop so low to hit a small community business like this...
Cheers,
David
