The anticipation is killing me, I can only imagine what it's doing to you. Obviously it's my obsession with the hobby but I find empty tanks sadder than orphaned puppy dogs. I have a 30 that I got as a hand me down in my dining room just itchin to be filled for some reason or another.

I'm sure there's a dirty joke here but I'll leave it alone. I replace all air lines in the tank every 3 months-ish just to avoid headaches like this. A 50' roll of air line is only like $8 around here

My API test kit has been registering false ammonia since the day I took it out of the box. even my pure RO/DI registers right at .25. From the pics it's hard to tell what algae is on the rock and what's on the glass. I get an algae film like that if I don't clean the glass as often as I should...
