So I went ahead and paid $50 for a new LTA so my clowns can have a home once again. it's been about 4 months since the last one died due to a fox face bite to its foot. Wouldn't you know they will not touch the darn thing... Are clowns really that darn picky????

Sounds about right, I've had my LTA for 3 years now and he's always got his mouth open to about the width of a pencil.

I had an LTA my clowns loved until my foxface took a chunk out of the foot and killed it.

Sounds like you need to sit down and learn how to do water parameters.. my 11 year old brother has a 20 gallon saltwater tank and does his own salt mix, water changes and param testing.

im jelous... my LFS is crap and dont even order corals... i have no other fs within 2 hours driving and i hate the shipping fee's of online orders ><

My clowns had Brooklynella, ended up killing everything in the tank. The only thing i found that would kill it was Formalin dip. This stuff is very powerful and dangerous but its the only known cure for brooklynella. I ended up keeping my clown after the dip in a hospital tank for a month and...

I bought a knockoff fixture from amazon and bought some high end t5 HO's to put into it and my corals/ LTA is diong great! This is on a 55 as well I think the fixture only cost like 80 and the lights 30 each.

Not near as much but still alot of algae. Its mostly a harder algea, not quite coraline but something else that's forming on the glass. I have a bit of hair algea but i try to take care of it while my daughter goes down for a nap. My corals and fish are doing amazing, mushrooms and kenya's are...

Coraline is interesting stuff, Mine is this Hot Pink color.

Erin, lol this was a long time ago not sure if its to late to continue our conversation but im feeding once a day. Unfortuanantly no macro algae, my fiance and I recently had a little girl so all time/money has been going that way and tank is on the back burner.

what's your stock list, ammonia should be non exsistant in a tank of that age.
