Put the goby in first. there is a very real chance he will kill anything that goes in after the hawk. Cute little boogers, but they are nasty as heck. Also your shrimp WILL become lunch. Its not a matter of if but when.

With your tank set up for a year I wouldnt worry too much about a lost possibly dead fish, your bacteria and cuc should be able to handle it. Did you check your overflow? (if the tank is drilled) Reread your post, hopefully he is just hiding :/

I would personally go with a fish that has a different shape structure then the goby. He knows he is boss and is not afraid to show it.

Just put a mirror on the side of the tank, like one of those betta mirrors or something. The tang will get so entranced with himself he will forget about a new arrival lol.

If you add any new fish after him make sure to do the mirror trick. They can be buttheads to new arrivals

Glad to hear the tank is looking better Pok, that lava rock and river rock is bad freaking news. Fishy did you ever give the company a call or write them an email? Since you have been having so many problems I would be raising hell (might be the hormones lol) with them myself.
