Hello everyone, just wanted to ask in case anyone has ever experienced a crab living in the flesh/skeleton of an open brain? Attached a pic, he seems like he is digging around in the coral and I have tried tweezers to get him out but it just isnt happening, any advice on what exactly he is...

Are you sure it was ro/di and not just RO? I think drinking water is a little less pure then aquarium water because sometimes it has minerals added for taste. I was told to go for distilled water if I buy it.

I personally dont think its the ph that got the clown, I think it was the unstuck powerhead. Im guessing it released a bunch of nasty things into your water. As for the clown get one that is much bigger or much smaller and you should be fine.

You would move the rocks around a bit so they could establish new territories and hopefully not be too hard on one another.

My falco hawkfish ate the biggest pep I had. Boyfriend didnt believe me that they love shrimp, and put him in that tank. He was gone in about 30 seconds with the lights off.

What kind of rock do you have? Jw, because lava rock can steal calcium and alk if I remember correctly.

I personally think you would be better off with something else. I have a dwarf angelfish in a 29 gallon, and he is a big jerk. His minimum tank size has recently been upgraded from 30 gallons to 70 so I am considering re-homing him.

Sand, crushed coral will only make you angry. Just make sure the sand isnt too fine or it will make a sandstorm in your tank.

rofl no but no doubt it will pop into my head from now on. After my tank was set up for a while I started testing only when corals look pissy, but thats just me being lazy lol

I would look into a skimmer myself personally. Seems like a lot of extra cleaning to keep a canister filter from being a nitrate factory.

Just wondering has anyone used this salt mix? Its relatively new but I figured maybe someone has tried it, and if so I would love to know how it fares. Its what they have at the lps and figured if I could save on shipping why not.
