You can do all that with any ATO connected to the Apex. I can do that with my Tunze, or my jobs as long as it is plugged into my EB8. No break out box needed.

Because float switches have a bad habit of accumulating salt creep, snails, crabs.........., and thus have a much greater tendency to fail as opposed to the electronic optic eye that the Tunze uses. Plus the other safety features like a second switch to shut off the pump at a pre determined high...

I don't have the salinity probe on mine. Just the temp and Ph probes. IMO you do not need a salinity probe if you have an ATO or on point with your top offs.

Assuming you have them plugged in and running to the desired amount you want dosing, you will want to leave the outlet "on" as opposed to "auto". Unless of course you have them set to dose a specific amount at preset times. Then you would use the "auto" on the outlet set up.

You can connect a wireless gaming adaptor to it, then it is wireless.

It does what ever you want it to. It alerts you when you have a spike in temp. You can turn on or off any piece of equipment that is plugged into it from anyplace via your smart phone. You can set pieces to run during certain time frames, or temperatures, days of the week even.
