Well ya you could but it wont look nice for very long. Algae will start growing on it and the snails wont be able to clean it. I had some fake stuff in my first tank was more of a headache then anything.

Canister filters are a pain in the butt with reef tanks. They can work but you need to clean it weekly or every other week. A sump/refugium is a much better way to go with a in sump protein skimmer.

To be honest I like how the rock is now. If you are going to play with it think caves for fish and shelves for corals...A few more lr pieces cant hurt.

Its what a knock off light should go for. Aquatraders has almost the same light for 79.90 and free shipping. The legs are different but the body is the same, more then likely made in the same factory.

Are you talking about bubble traps? My cheato stops all the bubbles from the skimmer then I have a bubble trap before the pump. I dont get any bubbles in the pump section.
