I sanded down, put kilz on the inside to kill and protect against mold and mildew, pre-conditioned, stained, and glossy sealed my stand! Plus I put on new hardware. What do you think?! I am by far a carpenter and this was the first time i have ever done anything like this but I like it!!

Hello, I would like some tips on how to pick my first protein skimmer. I have a 46gal bow front and I am building a 20gal long sump to house the skimmer. Are their general rules of thumb to follow when choosing a skimmer? For instance does the $50-100 skimmer run just a good as the $300-400...

I'll keep that in mind salt_for_brains I haven't got my skimmer yet. Or baffles for that matter so it's always subject to change!

A local glass shop is charging 7.50ea for glass baffles. Is that expensive? Cheap? Do you know where to get them cheaper? Justin
