I don't think maturity is as important as stable. One of the first corals we had. Tank was 5 months old. But stability is the secret & seachem reef trace & plus as per instructions. This is the one been fragged. 15 months old

That's why they like the sand getting swirled and rocks getting blown off I do have a low nutrient tank & have for a long time. Well I assume it's classed as low. Nitrates undetectable - 0.02. Phos Never ever goes over 0.03 normally. 0.00 with Hanna checker ' they have been fine for 15 months...

i have heard the same thing. We haven't had any problems except they can be temperamental at times. They seem to close up for a couple of weeks every so often, you think there is a problem and then they come back bigger and better. In fact we had the green one close up completely for 4 months...
